Data collected

ScholarRAG does not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, or user accounts. No data is intentionally collected by the platform itself.

The following data is processed in the course of normal operation:

• Chat messages — questions typed in the research chatbot are transmitted to Groq to generate responses. Messages are not stored by ScholarRAG.
• Server logs — IP address, date/time, page visited, browser (User-Agent), logged automatically for maintenance and security.

Third-party processor — Groq

The research chatbot uses the Groq API (Groq, Inc., US) to generate responses. Chat messages are transmitted to Groq servers to produce the AI-generated answer. Groq processes data under its own Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement, available at groq.com/legal. No persistent storage of your messages by Groq is performed under this integration.

Legal basis

Server log processing is based on legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f GDPR). Chat message transmission to Groq is based on the performance of the service you requested (Article 6.1.b GDPR).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data. Contact: sebastian@emergencelab.org. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (France: CNIL).

Hosting

This platform is hosted on servers in the European Union and on Vercel (US-based, EU data residency options available). No unnecessary data transfers outside the EU are performed.

AI-generated content

Responses provided by the research chatbot are generated by an artificial intelligence system and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute scientific, legal, or professional advice. Emergence Lab makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated responses.

Intellectual property

All content on this platform (texts, research, publications, visuals, code) is the exclusive property of Sebastian Wahl — Emergence Lab, protected by copyright. Any reproduction, even partial, without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

Limitation of liability

Emergence Lab shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use this platform, including reliance on AI-generated content. Use of this platform implies acceptance of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
